Statement About SkyTone Global Mobile Data Service and Privacy

SkyTone Global mobile data is a service provided by Huawei Device (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei", "we", "us", or "our") that offers data network access at places within its global coverage. Huawei takes your personal information and privacy seriously, and is committed to taking appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in accordance with relevant laws and established industry security standards.

1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

1.1 Providing you with the following core features

(1) Worldwide mobile network services SkyTone provides you with worldwide mobile network services and enables you to purchase Global mobile data plans at any time from SkyTone. To facilitate your data plan purchase and usage on all your Huawei devices, it is recommended that you log in to your HUAWEI ID prior to the purchase. Once you reach the designated service area, you can activate the data plan to access the Internet. In the event that you have arrived at your destination without purchasing a data plan in advance, SkyTone also offers you free access to the Internet with limited data so that you can inquire and purchase a data plan. To identify the location of your device and help you access the Internet, SkyTone needs to collect your device identifier, device model, network information, carrier information, coupon and service usage information, data information, as well as the approximate location of your device. We will also use your precise location information in order to allow you to activate a data plan immediately after you arrive in its service area, but it will not be uploaded to any Huawei servers. (2) Integrated third-party features The integrated services of SkyTone include car rentals, hotel booking, worldwide flight ticket booking, audio guides, visa applications, and more. These services are provided by third-party service providers, which may have their own privacy policies. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to require these third-party service providers to protect your personal information. However, we are not entitled or obligated to ensure their fulfillment of these requirements. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you carefully read third-party privacy policies. After logging in to your HUAWEI ID, you can view the order records in the service. For this purpose, we need to collect, anonymize, and send your HUAWEI ID information to the corresponding third-party service provider. For third-party services without your HUAWEI ID login, we will send a pseudonymous account information to the third party to obtain and display your orders in the app so that you can check them with ease. We are only able to provide a complete range of the above services if you agree to the collection of the above information.

1.2 Providing you with the following additional features

(1) Smart Internet assistant Smart Internet assistant provides you with free high-speed Internet trial services based on the beneficial information it collects from your local mobile networks. It also pushes marketing and promotional events to you from time to time, so that you enjoy quality data service at a preferential price. Your network status information will be collected and only be used to provide you with such promotion services. To disable this service, go to Me > Global mobile data > Smart Internet assistant. (2) Travel helper Travel helper sends you reminders to purchase a data plan for your trip abroad, and pushes promotional data plans that are available at your destination based on your network information and location information. To provide you with a better user experience, we need to use third-party services, such as Microfountain Bizport, which may collect your personal information. For more details, please refer to the third-party service provider's privacy policies. To disable the reminder service and the data plan recommendations, go to Me > Settings > Travel helper. (3) SkyTone service updates The installation package is automatically downloaded over Wi-Fi, and SkyTone Global mobile data services will automatically update whenever appropriate, so that you can enjoy the latest SkyTone services. To disable automatic update, go to Me > Settings > Advanced settings > SkyTone service updates. Performing this operation will cause compatibility issues between SkyTone Global mobile data services and the SkyTone version, and you will need to manually update the mobile data service. (4) Network stability enhancement service SkyTone uses GPS positioning to accurately locate your precise location despite the complex network coverage near country borders. This improves stability of Internet connection and allows you to access the service at ease without worrying about being automatically disconnected from SkyTone Global mobile data services by mistake. To provide you with this service, we need to use third-party services, such as Baidu Location, which may collect your personal information. For more details, please refer to the third-party service provider's privacy policies. To disable this feature, go to Me > Settings > Advanced settings > Enhance network stability. (5) Travel helper enhancement The Travel helper enhancement service analyzes your SMS messages, sends travel service reminders and recommends data plans. To disable the service, go to Me > Settings > Advanced settings > Travel helper enhancement. (6) Issues and suggestions If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the use of Skytone, go to Feedback in the app. When you use this feature, we need to collect your device identifier, contact information, relevant screenshots, issue description or suggestions, and app logs. We are only able to provide a complete range of the above services if you agree to the collection of the above information. (7) User experience improvement In order to provide you with a better user experience, we will collect your app usage information, including your browsing and access data, as well as your device identifier, and adjust the display priority of content based on the content browsing and access data.

2. Personalized Recommendations

To provide you with a better user experience and personalized services, including event information and data plan recommendations, we may perform analysis based on your device and apps usage, and SkyTone usage. To disable this feature, go to Me > Global mobile data > Smart Internet assistant and uncheck Enable Smart Internet assistant.

3. Child Protection

This app is for adult use only. If you are a minor, your parent or legal guardian must agree to your use of this app, and agree to the applicable terms and conditions. Parents and legal guardians should also take appropriate precautions to protect minors, including monitoring their use of this app.

4. Sharing with Third Parties

The integrated services of SkyTone include car rentals, hotel booking, worldwide flight ticket booking, audio guides, visa applications, train or bus ticket booking, and more. When you log in to your HUAWEI ID and use such services, we'll anonymize and send your HUAWEI ID information to the corresponding third-party service provider. For third-party services without your HUAWEI ID login, we will send a pseudonymous account information to the third party to obtain and display your orders in the app so that you can check them with ease. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to request these third-party service providers to take proper measures to protect your personal information.

5. Managing Your Data

We have provided the relevant operating settings for you to manage your personal information and withdraw your consent to the use of the information. Refer to the following guidelines for details.

5.1 Access personal information

Orders and coupons You can open SkyTone and go to Me > Order or Coupons to view your current and historical order and coupon information, including the basic coupon information, data plan, consumption time, and consumption records.

5.2 Withdraw consent

You can uninstall the SkyTone app to stop the collection and use of your personal data as described in this Statement. Alternatively, you can also go to Me > Settings > EXIT APP, and uncheck Notify when SkyTone is available. If you touch the Back key on your phone instead of EXIT APP on the app, SkyTone may still need to connect to the Internet in the background to provide you with service reminders or recommendations. 6. Data Storage Location and Retention Period

6.1 Data storage location

The personal information collected and generated by global mobile data services will be sent to and stored in Hong Kong, China, among which the information collected for feedback and experience improvement purposes will be stored in the Chinese Mainland. The above information will not be transferred to other regions outside its storage location. For details about the storage location of your personal information transmitted to a third-party service provider, refer to their privacy policies.

6.2 Data retention period

We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Statement, and delete or anonymize your personal information beyond the time set out below, except as otherwise required by applicable laws and regulations. Your HUAWEI ID information will be deleted immediately after you delete your account.
Your carrier information will be retained for six (6) months.
Device identifier, approximate location, network information, and device model will be retained for three (3) years.
We will not store your precise location information.
Information regarding the issues and suggestions you submitted will be retained for two (2) years.The app logs will be retained for seven (7) days.
Order records, invoices , and service usage information will be retained for seven (7) years.
Coupon redemption records will be retained for one (1) year.
For details about the retention period of your personal information transmitted to a third-party service provider, refer to their privacy policies.
Other data will be deleted after you delete your account or upon expiration of the retention period as required by local laws and regulations.
In the event that we discontinue our products or services, we will notify you in the form of a push notification, announcement, or other means, and delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period of time.

If you are not satisfied with the response you receive, especially if you feel that our processing or handling of your personal information has violated or infringed on your legal rights and/or interests, you may seek external resolution, whether by filing a lawsuit with the people's court in the relevant jurisdiction, submitting a complaint to the industry self-regulation association or relevant government regulatory agencies, or by other means.You may also consult us regarding the available channels for voicing your complaint.
